The Jungle Theater is a non-profit organization with a Small Professional Theater (SPT) agreement with Actors’ Equity Association (AEA). We are currently an SPT-8. We employ both AEA members and non-union actors, and Equity Membership Candidates are able to accrue workweeks from Jungle contracts. We schedule 38 hours of rehearsal per week, in the afternoons and evenings, and we perform 7 shows a week: Tuesday through Sunday evenings, plus a Sunday matinee. Our season begins in January, and we mount five productions every season. We do not typically budget for actor housing, but out-of-towners are welcome to audition.
Our audition notices will be on the AEA hotline, in the Star Tribune’s Sunday 550 classifieds and on the Star Tribune website, and at mnplaylist.com. We also maintain a 24/7 audition message with the latest information, at (612) 278-0156.
The Jungle Theater does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, political persuasion or belief, age or disability.
